The Renaissance Midtown Hotel is something very special. Part of the Marriott Hotel group, the already strong history of great service and knowledgeable staff has been enhanced with even lovelier design and even more cutting edge events. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a Woodford Reserve Bourbon and Rye tasting, and I was so delighted with enjoyment of the event in combination with the surroundings and the friendliness and graciousness of the staff that I wanted to write about this wonderful place to let the world know just how wonderful it is. Ranie Khan, the Lead Navigator I met that day, shared with me that, "Renaissance Brand focuses on the "Gen X" demographic. Navigators always "Live Life To Discover"! There are infinite possibilities in New York City, and a world of "Gems" to "Discover" around every corner. Being a Navigator enables me to share my encounters with our guests and help them explore something new and exciting." She introduced me to the amazing Drew de Leon, Founder/Brand Director of Blank Label Records, and they invited me to the Global Day of Discovery. I knew it was going to be something even more special, and it was beyond my expectations. The event was created around an amazing idea that the Renaissance Hotels do worldwide - for one special afternoon and evening, they add even more delicious and delightful treats for the eyes, ears and palate, and bring the best of each local city to the hotel for a party. New York for me is the most magical city in the world - I do love other places, but Manhattan is very special. It would have been possible for the event to be a lovely one just because of where it is, but the staff and event planners went above and beyond to make it a truly memorable one. With delicious tastes and treats of all kinds, I felt as if it was my own special party in my own special place, and I could tell from the happy faces all around me that everyone was feeling that way too. So many smiles, so much fun, so many beautiful moments. The Renaissance Midtown Hotel is truly a very special space in a very special place.
