I wrote about Cheese + Wine Hoboken over a year ago, and though I often stop by to see what is new, there is so much that is so good in this treasure of a store that I wanted to write an update. Victoria the owner continues to create events that aim to please and hit their mark every time, and there are excellent staff members helping with wine selections whose suggestions are inventive, eclectic and delightful in the way that truly tasteful Sommeliers have of sharing the most interesting as well as delicious varieties that are not always seen. I went to a Cheese and Charcuterie Summer Walk Around Wine Pairing event to try some of the latest additions, and as always the flavorful adventure was exciting and delicious, lovely in presentation and lingering in memory because of the beautiful combinations of flavors and excellent taste. I was also impressed because the group that was there was enjoying not only the delicious pairings, but they and I were able to learn so much from each Distributor and Presenter that it made the evening an educational one, while still being a great deal of fun.
Victoria has so many of these special events planned on a regular basis, and with the help of her excellent staff and her own personal selections there is something for everyone and more. Each event gives an introduction into a new world of flavors to savor because this store is not only just a wonderful place to explore and buy wines, but there are excellent cheese and charcuterie selections along with sweets and savory treats. Cheese + Wine Hoboken is a perfect place to find yourself after a long day or week, a place to inspire great gift giving as well as gifts to yourself. With Craft Beers and Spirits along with the smaller batch wines and interesting varietals, there is always something new to discover. And with the regular schedule of tastings and pairing events you can find out more about the selections that are available, choose your favorites, and bring them home.
