An Abundant Life - View From The Top

The first time I discovered the Archer Hotel was during a Summer Block Party Chef Charlie Palmer hosted at Charlie Palmer Steak on the ground floor. As part of a lovely summer afternoon on the restaurant's patio, each week Chef Palmer and his staff created delightful pairings of complimentary happy hour cocktails and light bites to go along with his casual and enlightening conversations with various interesting and knowledgeable New York editors and top members of the hospitality industry. The tastes were delicious, and the idea and experience so much fun that I asked if I could return at another time to find out more about the wonderful events and meals the Archer Hotel has to offer. On my second visit I started at the top, at the Spyglass, and finished my adventure with lunch on the patio. My first course of hand made tagliatelle stuffed with mascarpone and served with a creamy sauce of fresh peas was dreamy, and my main course was as amazing as the first. I am a fan of a good steak, and one of the things I love is a good steak salad - if I say this one was cooked to perfection and served with style that's not even saying enough. The surroundings are lovely, the service is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful, and the Spyglass has a view of the Empire State Building that is thrilling. Whether you're staying in New York for business or pleasure or if you live in or near the City and want a place to explore the best New York has to offer, The Archer Hotel is a destination for making every dream come true.
